Dr. Peter J. Roth is a Research Fellow and ARC DECRA Fellow within the Centre for Advanced Macromolecular Design, School of Chemical Engineering, UNSW.

My research focusses on combining efficient organic reactions with modern polymerisation techniques to produce novel smart materials.  An emphasis lies on stimulus-responsive materials, especially polymers that respond to less investigated mechanical stimuli or that show a positive thermal response in aqueous solutions, which offer potential for biomedical applications.

JOIN THE TEAM
We are always looking for highly skilled and motivated researchers.

Honours Projects
Please contact me if you are interested in an Honours / summer project within a a UNSW degree in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Chemistry.

Practicum Exchange
If you are enrolled at an overseas partner university of UNSW (list), you may be eligible to participate in a practicum exchange program and do research at UNSW for up to 12 months (more info).

Research Assistant
If you have finished your degree and wish to get some working experience in my group, contact me to enquire about any open positions.  For this, you will need to have or obtain working rights in Australia (eligible countries for working holiday visa).

Master's / PhD studies
Please enquire about open faculty scholarships.  UNSW offers several scholarship types to local (link) and international students (link).  To be eligible to apply, you need to have a Bachelors degree with 1st class Honours.
