Room M18, Chemical Science Building (map ref. F10)

Drawing upon experiences leading UNSW's solar racing team, being the CTO for a start-up company, and leading UNSW's robotic soccer team, Hayden Smith explains common concepts and methodologies of leadership that will help propel you not only during your time at University, but in your career that follows.

Come along and gain a valuable insight on the do's and don'ts of leading, managing, and working with other students, colleagues and faculty. The talk will be focused on applying these skills to unpaid/volunteer work in UNSW's Student-led Projects.

Hayden will share his insights on good leadership qualities, how to effectively motivate a team and relate this knowledge back to the working in the engineering industry, where progress is driven by much more than just an individual's capabilities.

He will also touch on recruitment strategies, planning, management and making an organisational structure within any project or business.
