The National Committee on Applied Mechanics, Australia is proud to be organising the 9th Australasian Congress on Applied Mechanics (ACAM 9) at UNSW Sydney from 27-29 November, 2017.

The Congress aims to provide an international forum for researchers, industry practitioners, engineers and postgraduate scholars to promote, exchange and disseminate recent findings on contemporary and wide-ranging topics in Applied Mechanics.

Hear presentations from Scientific leaders from Australia and Internationally; learn practical applications through case from industry, and keep abreast of latest research and developments from Engineering students and experts.

Information will be presented in plenary sessions, workshops, concurrent streams and poster sessions. Site tours are planned for ANSTO’s Neutron Instrument, Accelerators and the Australian Synchrotron and also UNSW’s ARC Training Centre for Automated Manufacturing of Advanced Composites.

Our goal is to create an inclusive, respectful conference environment that invites participation from people of all races, ethnicities, genders, ages, abilities, religions, and sexual orientations. We’re actively seeking to increase the diversity of our attendees, speakers, and sponsors through our calls for abstracts, other open submission processes, and through dialogue with the larger community. We value diversity in the communities we bring together. We strive to provide balanced representation of the richness of our collective human experience, and welcome your contributions to helping us achieve that goal.

We look forward to welcoming you to Sydney, and ACAM9 from 27-29 November 2017.
